PREEMRAFF
Preem is an amazing beautiful place in the Bohuslän archipelago. Through the years the sound disturbance to the environment has increased so much that its benchmark for external industrial noise exceeded. ÅF - Ingemansson was commissioned to investigate the cause of the increased noise and to develop noise mitigation measures.
Solution
The work started by doing a combination of measurements in the environment, within the factory area and close to all the equipment inside the area. We used the different measurement techniques including "acoustic camera". An acoustic camera consists of a high-speed cameras and 50 microphones that simultaneously targeted measure and photograph the plant far away. In this way you can see where the dominant noise sources are.

Results
Through a systematic work on measurement and mitigation measures the noise level in the surrounding area has been reduced to the authority requirements. The customer now has a complete investigation with concrete measures and actions set out in the Noise Surf located on the client's intra-net.
